Out of the two model tram formations operating in Minimundus, the “Viennese Ring tram” which went into service in 1927, is particularly noteworthy. These robust yet stylish trams also plied many other routes in the Viennese tram network and characterized the face of Vienna for many a year. In 1978 they were taken out of service but some tram formations are on display in the Viennese Tramway Museum and are occasionally used as “vintage tramcars” for special tours.
