It was predominantly used by Emperor Karl I for journeys between Vienna and Baden where Karl I had his headquarters. The elegant carriage was originally fitted out by the famous Viennese Jugendstil architect Otto Wagner and it has since been overhauled and faithfully restored by railway enthusiasts. Nowadays it is used for nostalgic rides. It is a noteworthy example of Austrian engineering.
